A cash and carry warehouse in Nottingham has been prosecuted at Leeds Magistrate Court. This was because they were illegally storing large quantities of fireworks, and had committed a number of other fire safety offences in the run-up to this year’s Bonfire Night on the 5th of November.
The warehouse was found to be storing over 7 times more than the maximum amount of fireworks legally allowed, and on top of this they were not taking an additional safety precautions for the increased amount of dangerous material on site.
