CITB Changes: Automated Grant Payments
Posted on March 26, 2018
From 1st April 2018, CITB’s grant process will become automated; and will be completely handled by your training provider.
The application for a grant will be instigated when we, (or your alternative training provider – boooo), submit your candidate’s results, following completion of a training course.
For us to be able to instigate your grant claim, we must collect levy numbers and ensure delegate details are correct. We will request levy numbers and delegate details at the time of booking, and check delegate’s photographic ID when they attend their course.
If you do not provide your CITB levy number, we will be unable to instigate the grant claim process for you; and after the initial transition period (which we believe will end June 2018), you will be unable to claim a grant yourself.
Apprenticeships, Qualifications and Short Duration Training are supported by the grant scheme; however, Courtley currently only offer Short Duration Training. If you would like more information on the other categories, please visit https://www.citb.co.uk/grant/.
Short Duration training lasts between 3 hours and 29 days and provides the delegate whttps://www.citb.co.uk/grant/new-grants-scheme-2018ith industry-standard skills. We are working hard to ensure our Courtley Certified courses meet the required standards.
As mentioned in our November bulletin, First Aid will no longer be supported (except in the case of very small organisations, where it is their only training requirement).
If you would like to read more about the courses which will be supported after 1st April 2018, please visit https://www.citb.co.uk/grant/new-grants-scheme-2018/short-duration-course-achievements-grant
