NEW COURSE – CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety
Posted on July 16, 2013
We have just received approval to deliver CITB’s 1-day Directors Role for Health and Safety training course.
Following several requests and after a bit of research, it turns out there aren’t many providers delivering the training it in the Northwest; so we decided to take the plunge and add it to our portfolio!
The course is aimed at directors and senior managers, with the purpose of recognising the human, economical and financial implications of non-compliance with health and safety legislation. The course will provide a summary of how to promote a positive health and safety culture within their organisation.
Successful candidates will gain knowledge and skills in:
- Moral and human costs/the implications of decisions made in the boardroom;
- The economic implications of an unsafe working environment;
- The legal responsibilities with regard to health and safety;
- The principles and importance of the risk assessment process;
- Appointing competent health and safety assistance and the limitations of such an appointment;
- The basic tools of introducing a proactive health and safety culture.
Candidates will gain qualifications and receive an CITB-Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Certificate.
The course duration is 1-day and we will be delivering the first one on the 15th of August 2013 at an introductory price of £125 plus VAT per person – contact Emma to make your bookings (we must reach a minimum of 6 to run the course, please act fast to avoid disappointment).
