Required Equipment: PPE: gloves, suitable footwear and hardhats
Certification: Courtley Health & Safety Ltd certificate of attendance.
Overview: This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting basic scaffolds and for those who are required to complete reports in accordance with Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Attendees should have some awareness and experience of scaffolding structures in their normal occupation, trade and industrial sector (e.g. construction, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance etc.). Individuals who do not have knowledge and experience of scaffolding should consider attending alternative scaffolding awareness training prior to this course.

Basic scaffold inspection training is vital for those who, during the course of their work, are required to perform inspections on basic scaffold structures to comply with the 2005 Working at Height Regulations. This could include site supervisors, site managers, or any other on site health and safety advisers.
Those who are attending the course are required to have some experience of scaffolding structures.

Competence
Completion of the Basic Scaffold Inspection course provides attendees with the knowledge required to understand how to inspect basic scaffolding structures, in traditional tube and fittings that conform to TG20:13 compliance sheet; and other generally recognised configurations (e.g. edge protection following SG27 guidance) in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and scaffolding industry best practice.
How Much Does the Training Cost?
The Training costs £375 + VAT. However the course is free if you are a Courtley member.
Designed scaffold structures outside of this scope will require inspection by an Advanced Scaffold Inspector.
