Course Content
The Column Rescue course covers candidates knowledge and practical experience around the rescue of an ill or incapacitated person from within a distillation column and a confined space.
- Methods of communication.
- Inspection and use of PPE/RPE
- Inspection and assembly of tri-pod and rescue winch
- Use of medical collarRemoval of casualty from column incorporating use of stretchers
- Removal of tray parts and internal structures
- Rescue techniques using direct harness attachment
Competence
The Column Rescue course aims to provide candidates with the knowledge and practical experience to enable the rescue of an ill or incapacitated person from within a distillation column and a confined space. Candidateses will be shown how to rescue an incapacitated person from within a confined space.
Pre-Requisites
The candidate must be a minimum of 18 years old.
The delegate must have undertaken the medium and high risk course
The candidate must have a valid medical or undertake a short medical questionnaire.
This course is delivered by Engenda Group Limited, an ECITB approved training provider.
