Face Fit Testing OPEN DAY
Duration: 30 minutes per session
The purpose of undergoing a face fit test is to check the fit and effectiveness of the half-face and disposable face mask you are using as a personal protective measure.
Requirements for successful testing:
- You must be cleanly shaven, a wet shave with no visible hair.
- You must refrain from eating, drinking or chewing gum for 15 minutes prior to the test.
- You must refrain from smoking for 1 hour prior to the test.
- You must bring the facepiece normally worn.
How Long Does a Face Fit Test Last?
Our tests last between 20 – 30 minutes. This is because you will be required to perform some basic tasks while wearing the mask to ensure it is correctly fitted. We have found that around 25 minutes is required to perform the necessary adjustments and get the mask fitting properly.
On Face Fit Open Days, appointment slots start from 9 am and are available throughout the day. To book your test, simply complete our online booking form and select your desired appointment time from the drop down list.
If you are booking multiple tests the appointment times will run back to back. A member of the team will be in touch to arrange an alternative appointment time, if the time you have selected is not available.
Alternatively, give us a call on 0151 545 0497 or drop us an email [email protected] to book a test.
Please note we can only test the effectiveness of half-face or disposable masks.
How Much Does Testing Cost?
A test with Courtley Health & Safety costs £25 plus VAT. However, if you are a member with us, this service is free.
