Overview: The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is designed for Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Supervisors and Proprietors of smaller companies. The SMSTS course is identified in Approved Codes of Practice as the ideal core training for all Site Managers.

SMSTS Course Content
This SMSTS course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and all regulations relevant to the construction industry, which includes:
- Site Set-up;
- CDM Regulations;
- Risk Assessments;
- Method Statements;
- Scaffolding;
- Electricity;
- Excavations;
- Demolition;
- Confined Spaces.

How Long is a SMSTS Certificate Valid For?
The SMSTS certificate lasts for 5 years. If you wish to maintain your accreditation, you will need to attend a refresher course. This refresher course will ensure you do not lose your qualification. And will cover any changes to legislation and best practice changes which have occurred since you passed the original course.
What Does a SMSTS Course Involve?
Competence
This course will enable delegates to ensure that safety issues are managed efficiently, protecting the workforce, other people and the general environment, and will ensure that legal compliance is achieved. This will be achieved through discussions, case studies, group and individual presentations, and your own self study outside of the timetabled course hours.
Assessment
You are required to attend every day of this 5 day course, as you will be assessed throughout. You will also be required to sit a multiple choice test at the conclusion of the training.
How Much Does a SMSTS Course Cost?
Our SMSTS course costs £592 plus VAT. If you wish to include paper copies of the GE700 and XA6 publications, the price for the course is £625 plus VAT.

Great course and very engaging.
